From a Park Like Yard to the Perfect Wedding Venue: The Story of All About Memories

Imagine driving through the neighborhoods of Spokane on a sunny afternoon. You turn onto North Smith Street and spot a property that stops you in your tracks. The grass is greener than you thought possible. The flowers are blooming in orchestrated chaos. It looks less like a private residence and more like a secret botanical garden.

Back in 2007, when Ronald Flood and Jake Nigrelli first moved to Spokane, this is exactly what their neighbors started noticing. People would walk by and stop to stare. Friends would come over for dinner and refuse to go inside because the yard was just too beautiful. Again and again, they heard the same comment.

“Your yard is like a park. You really should do weddings here.”

For a long time, it was just a compliment. But by 2022, Ronald and Jake decided to listen. They opened All About Memories, turning their beloved home grounds into one of the most intimate and visually stunning venues in the area.

The Heart and The Hands

What makes this venue truly special isn’t just the lush greenery or the manicured lawns. It is the two distinct personalities behind it.

Think of Ronald Flood as the heart of the operation. He spent twenty four years as a Registered Nurse. You can imagine the kind of patience and empathy required for that career. He has retired from nursing, but he didn’t leave that caring spirit behind. He simply transferred it from patients to couples. Ronald believes in the Golden Rule of treating others exactly how you want to be treated. That means when you book a day here, you aren’t just a contract number. You are a guest in his care.

Ronald is also the one with the green thumb. He handles the landscape design that earned them that “park like” reputation in the first place. He is even an ordained minister. If a couple needs an officiant, Ronald steps in to marry them at no extra cost. He does it purely because he loves being part of the joy.

Then you have Jake Nigrelli. If Ronald is the heart, Jake is the hands.

Jake brings twenty years of experience as a journeyman carpenter and a degree in Art to the table. While Ronald ensures the vibe is right, Jake ensures the setting is perfect. He is meticulous. He is the guy who spots a detail out of place before anyone else does. He believes that if you are going to do something, you do it right. This combination of artistic vision and construction know how means the venue is not just pretty to look at. It is built to last and designed with a creative eye.

A Day at the Venue

So what does it feel like to actually host an event here?

Picture your guests arriving. The first thing they notice is the silence of nature and the beauty of the grounds. Ronald and Jake want their reviews to mention the beauty of the property above all else, and it is easy to see why. It acts as a natural decoration, saving you money on flowers because the venue provides them for free, growing right out of the ground.

You might see Jake off in the distance ensuring everything is structurally sound and perfect for the reception. You might find Ronald checking in to make sure everyone is comfortable.

They are constantly improving too. Right now they are buzzing with excitement about a new project. They are laying down a massive flagstone patio just in time for the spring season. It is going to be the perfect spot for cocktail hours or a first dance under the stars.

Honesty and Hospitality

One thing you will appreciate about working with this team is their refreshing honesty. They want you to know that outdoor venues have a wild element to them. They will be the first to tell you that some things, like the weather, are out of their control. But because they treat you like family, they will be right there with you to figure out the plan B if the clouds decide to open up.

They have lived in Spokane since 2007. They know the area. They know the people. And since 2022, they have been busy turning their personal paradise into the backdrop for your best memories.

It turns out the neighbors were right. It really is the perfect place for a wedding.

This venue is amazing. The people that run it are amazing and are very understanding when there is a problem that arises that’s out of your control. Ron who runs it is beyond awesome and goes above and beyond on helping out the couple that rents the venue. I 100% recommend this venue to everyone that’s getting married. The lights at night are the best. Also can’t forget about the old truck. It looks amazing especially in wedding photos.
